Mu Sochua denies leading protests yesterday at Freedom Park
PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) – Lawmaker of opposition party has denied that she led protest yesterday at Freedom Park where the clash broke out after she was trying to access the site.
“I went to the Freedom Park not to lead the protest, but to express my opinion,” Mu Sochua told a news conference today.
She added that she went to the Freedom Park alone, and if anybody followed her, it was their business.
The violent clash between a group of residents as well as opposition Members of Parliament and Daun Penh security forces left dozens including journalists injured after the forces beat the protesters gathering at the Freedom Park.
